Master of Alchemy Chronologically, this is the starting point of Earthmass. It is heavy. It is metal. More than that, Earthmass express a variation of tones and textures. They stand outside of usual genre labels. The closest description I could give is a similarity in some respects to post-rock, albiet much heavier. Earthmass are about crafting their music, sculpting it, and so their music requires the listener's attention and engagement with it. Play loud!

jamroom A short number, when compared to Lunar Dawn, but again shows why this band are so good. I'm afraid to use the word progressive, but they do it right - shade and light, bludgeoning riffage and soaring melodies.

Morts Another brilliant offering from Earthmass, apparently an indication of things to come from the band which is a good sign indeed! Once again the progressive metal elements are present with a vague doomy edge to it. The vocals certainly have a haunting quality to them. The guitar work is superb with layers of sonic excellence! Can't wait for more!

about

'Ancients' introduces the concept for forthcoming material, which leads up to previously released 'Lunar Dawn'.

lyrics

Whispered poisonous words,
capture the minds of two Kings.
Wizards behind the eyes.
Greed is letting them in.

Fire burning. Legion marching.
